Isle of Skye Landscape
A 7 day landscape photo tour on the beautiful Isle of Skye – Scottish highlands.
Briefly consisting of …
- 7 nights self catering accommodation in a rural cottage.
- 6 full days on Skye with a day either side passing through Glencoe.
- As much as or little tuition you require from myself throughout the whole trip.
We aim to spend the first afternoon in Glencoe to photograph sunset, then get up to Skye in the evening to get settled into the cottage. The first day is usually pretty laid back and gives us a good chance to see what level people are at and give us a chance to discuss what tuition may be needed if any.
We then spend the next 6 days photographing a mixture of sunrises, sunsets and everything in between. If you’ve never been to Skye before the landscape is fantastic, there’s a multitude of locations to choose from including seascapes, mountains, rivers, lochs and loads of wildlife too. Basically there’s something for everyone.
Skye’s weather can be pretty wild in the winter but equally can be amazingly beautiful with the snow capped Cuillins and crisp frosty fields. The warmer months bring sunny days and beautiful colours.
We rent out either Allt Dearg Cottage, owned by Bill and Dierdre of >Glendrynoch Cottages<
Allt Dearg cottage is situated at the foot of the Black Cuillins and within easy driving distance of all the places we will visit. It does also have a reasonable internet connection.
There’s plenty of cafe’s dotted around, there’s a couple of decent chip shops too. We’ll provide all the essentials for the trip too I.E bread, milk, butter, cereal etc
