Robert Black –
I will be going on my second Isle of Skye workshop with Nick this weekend 05/03/16. It is a great and valuable experience. Nick and Martin know a great deal about Skye and the art of photography, Nick has a very relaxed style and is able to instruct in the finer points of composition and exposure. I would recommend to anyone to go on one of these workshop. For the money it can’t be beaten. Transport, food, accommodation and instruction. What more could you want. Oh a long lasting friendship.
Robert Black –
10/03/2016. Just returned from another Isle of Skye Workshop with Martin and Nick. As ever their knowledge of their subject is second to none and their easy almost lay back method of instruction fills clients with confidence. Martins geographical of Skye is phenomenal, there is nothing or nowhere that has the potential for a photo that Martin does not know. Martin and Nick have a great understanding of photography and of how to set up your camera for the perfect shot. Last year I was very pleased with the photographs I took. This year I can’t believe that the pictures I have down loaded from my camera were taken by me. When you consider that your getting transported to Skye, the accommodation and all your food while in the cottage plus the after shooting instruction in post photo manipulation. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to take up the offer of a place on a future workshop. But book you place before I get it. Thanks again Martin and Nick for everything you have done to enhance my knowledge and skill levels. Can’t wait for the next one.

I have just returned from an epic adventure hosted by Nick, and of course Martin. Having travelled the world extensively in my life time, I can only say, that Skye is one of the best places I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Nick’s knowledge of Skye and Glencoe is unsurpassable. He knows it like the back of his hand, and has no qualms about sharing it. Whatever your level of photography is, Nick will guide you, advise you, and help you any which way but loose! The accommodation of a delightful cottage with wifi and a gorgeous log fire to come back to fills you with warmth just thinking about it… It is set at the foot of the Cuillins, a stunning backdrop of mountains. Whatever your needs, Nick will accommodate quite willingly and freely. I would like to thank Martin and Nick for a card full of fantastic imagery, wonderful memories, for the great knowledge you both have imparted, and for making that knowledge understandable, with their easy ethos…. If you are contemplating going on this workshop, hurry and book before the places are filled…. A monumental and epic time indeed in which I was never forget…
Bernard Lynch –
I went on Nick’s Skye trip in March 2016 as a total novice to landscape photography.
I spent five days in the company of seven total nutcases who often reduced me to tears of laughter but I also gained a few skills that I hope will be able to practise and improve my photography.
The trip was organised but relaxed and both Nick and Martin were always on hand to help and advise.
I hope to go on the next one in October ………… What better recommendation can I give?

Well what can I say to do this photo review justice ?
Just came back from a memorable 5 day workshop in Skye with Nick Watson and his accomplice Marin Steele.
More knowlegable and accomplished photographers and tutors would be difficult to find anywhere in my personal opinion. How they managed to get so much photo savvy into this 64 year old in 5 days is beyond me.
I have lived in Norway for 41 years and started to get more inetersted in photography a couple of years ago. Why O’ve waited so long to explore my own country in detail I’ll never know.
To get back to the course review. The guys take you to all the best locations on Skye. Great tuition on all locations. The house where we lived in Sligachan was also a cracker. In addition the lads are great and some real comedy included on the way. What more can I say. Highly recommneded for anybody interested in photography and an experience richer for me.
Best regards,
Ian Cassells
